Sonnie Roberts Boykai: The Crown Behind the Chair
Sonnie Roberts Boykai fell in love with hairstyling at just fifteen—and she’s been transforming lives with her hands ever since. In 2009, she earned her master’s degree in cosmetology from Atlanta Beauty Academy and became a licensed stylist in Georgia after acing both state exams.
By 2010, she opened the doors to her own business, Sonnie’s Hair Salon in Lawrenceville, Georgia. What started as a bold vision quickly blossomed into a community favorite. Just three years later, Sonnie earned the Lawrenceville Salon of the Year Award, praised for her skill, heart, and uplifting energy. She was also honored by Atlanta Beauty Academy for her outstanding dedication and service to the beauty industry.
Sonnie Boykai is more than a hairstylist, she’s a full-service beauty professional specializing in facials, massage, skin care, dreadlocks, coloring, manicures, and more. Her approach is rooted in joy and healing, making every visit to her salon a rejuvenating experience.
