Bio and History
Hairstyling became Sonnie Roberts Boykai’s interest when she was fifteen years old. She graduated with a master’s degree in cosmetology from Atlanta Beauty Academy in 2009, Sonnie also got her license to practice in Georgia when she had passed the writing and practical licensing exams.
She opened her own hair salon, Sonnie’s Hair Salon, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, in August 2010. She has owned Sonnies Hair Salon for the last fifteen years. By 2013, Sonnie had earned the Lawrenceville Salon of the Year award, her humanity, commitment, and upbeat attitude were acknowledged in addition to her skill. She was recognized by Atlanta Beauty Academy with an award and certificate for her commitment, exceptional service, and dedication to her craft.
Since that time, Sonnie has remained devoted to her passion for hairstyling, experiencing significant growth and facing numerous challenges, particularly during the pandemic that began in 2020.
However, her resilient approach to her business has shaped her into the person she is today. In addition to hairstyling, Sonnie also specializes in facials, massage, manicures, pedicures, coloring, skin care, dreadlocks, and much more.

Apart from owning Sonnie’s Hair Salon, Sonnie also own her hair products and skin care products that is full of natural ingredients that aid in moisturizing, nurturing and hydrating the hair and skin. Everyone that ever walks in Sonnie’s Hair Salon has always come back wanting more because of her good services and the smile she put on their faces when they walked out.

Through outstanding service and customized styling, we are dedicated to using natural, sustainable products and establishing a warm, comfortable inviting environment where each client regardless of age, background, or hair type feels noticed, appreciated, and empowered.

We’re also big on treating clients, staff, and the environment with respect so that each and every individual experiences comfort.
